Renewable energy accounts for more than half of power generation in Germany

     Recently, statistics released by the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany show that in the first half of this year, German renewable energy accounted for 55.8% of domestic 5kw home solar panel system price power generation, a record high (47.3% in the same period last year). Among them, wind power ranked first with 30.6%. However, due to the implementation of a carbon dioxide emission fee system, the cost of coal in the country's traditional energy sources is high, so the proportion has dropped significantly.

    Recently, the German Bundestag (lower house) has just passed a "de-coaling" bill requiring the complete closure of coal-fired power plants within the next 18 years to cope with global warming; and continue to implement the denuclearization policy by the end of 2022. At the same time, the German government has formulated a policy that by 2050, 80% of domestic electricity will be supplied by renewable energy sources.
