India adds 5.7GW of utility-scale solar power

    The agency added that in fiscal year 2019-20, Rajasthan increased its maximum capacity by 1.8 GW, followed by Tamil Nadu by 1.3 GW, and Karnataka by 1.1 GW. The study said: "In fiscal year 2019-20, these three states together contributed 74% of all utility-scale solar installations in India."


    At the same time, the newly installed wind power capacity in the fiscal year was about 2.1 GW, which was about 30% lower than the target of 3 GW set in the fiscal year. Compared with the previous year's installation, the wind power installation in the 2019-20 fiscal year is about 31% higher. Among them, Gujarat accounted for the main new capacity, totaling 1.4 GW, followed by the installation of 335 MW in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra (206 MW).
