The document has been delayed for weeks and the UK Treasury is wrangling over the cost of approvals for at least six nuclear power plants envisaged in the strategy. Sources said Kwarten plans to increase the UK’s installed solar capacity from the current 14 GW to 50 GW by 2030, offshore wind from 11 GW to 50 GW and onshore wind from 11 GW to 50 GW. 15 GW increased to 30 GW, and nuclear power capacity increased from 7 GW to 16 GW.
