The draft shows that Germany plans to increase the installed capacity of onshore wind energy from the previous target of 71 GW to 95 GW by 2030, and the installed capacity of solar energy from 100 GW to 150 GW by 2030.

At the same time, the German government also plans to provide about 7.8 billion euros (9.5 billion US dollars) for its climate protection plan next year, of which 2.5 billion euros will be used for building renovation and 1.8 billion euros will be used for electric vehicle purchase subsidies. Under this plan, the German government will also strongly support the industry to change technological processes, such as steel or cement production processes, to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. However, these fiscal spending promises will not be approved until the German federal election in September.

Earlier this month, the German Cabinet approved the new "Climate Protection Act", setting more ambitious emission reduction targets, including achieving carbon emissions by 2045 and reducing German carbon emissions from 1990 levels by 2030. 65%-higher than the previous 55% reduction target.

Data show that in 2020, the installed capacity of onshore wind power in Germany will be 54.4 GW, and the installed capacity of solar power will be 52 GW.
