Brazil: PV installed capacity is expected to reach 24.928GW in 2022

    A few days ago, the Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Association (House Solar Systems) cited data from the Brazilian Energy Regulatory Agency (ANEEL), saying that as of the end of September, Brazil’s installed solar capacity exceeded 20GW.

    It is understood that Brazil has 6.52GW of utility-scale solar projects and 13.57GW of distributed photovoltaic power plants.

    Utility-scale PV developers could add another 1,760MW by the end of the year, ANEEL said.

    According to ABSolar, by the end of this year Brazil's cumulative installed PV capacity will reach 24.928GW. But to achieve the goal, 3.5GW of distributed photovoltaic capacity must be added by the end of December.
