The Serbian government announced in May 2018 that it will convert its inefficient feed-in tariff (FIT) into a new off grid solar panel kit price auction plan. Currently, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has initiated a tender to find consultants who can help determine and implement new procurement plans.

The selected consultant will have to prepare all relevant documents needed to execute the renewable energy auction and provide detailed technical, financial, legal and environmental assistance to the government. Interested consultants must submit their proposals before June 8.

According to data from the International Renewable Energy Agency, Serbia ’s installed photovoltaic capacity is only 10 MW by the end of 2019. This may be all the capacity allocated through the expired FIT plan, according to the 12-year power purchase agreement, the rate granted by the plan is from 0.124 euros per kilowatt hour (US $ 0.15) to 0.146 euros per kilowatt hour of rooftop photovoltaic array Due to the size of the system), and 0.09 Euro per kWh installed on the ground.

According to the energy strategy of the Serbian government, the country ’s cumulative photovoltaic power generation capacity is expected to increase by 100 MW by 2025 and 200 MW by 2030.
