Morocco achieves 2030 renewable energy target five years ahead of schedule

    According to the preliminary forecast of Morocco's National Water Resources and Electricity Authority (ONEE), the proportion of renewable energy in Morocco's national electricity will reach 42% in 2022, 52% in 2025, and 64.3% in 2030. %. It can be said that from 2025, renewable energy will surpass traditional fossil energy and become the first source of electricity production in Morocco. In addition, the government of Morocco raised its 2030 greenhouse gas emission reduction target from 42% to 45.5%.
