A few days ago, the consultancy Canadian company Stantec released the "Turkish Photovoltaic Module Market Report", saying that in the past 10 years, the local Solar Power For Home Use photovoltaic module manufacturing industry in Turkey has developed rapidly. Up to now, the country’s module production capacity has reached 5.61 GW, and Solarturk and GestEnerji have been cultivated. Many local manufacturers have become the backbone of Turkish photovoltaic manufacturing.
According to the report, in fact, the Turkish component manufacturing industry started relatively late, and only in 2011 did it have the first local component company. But then, with policy support, the development of the Turkish photovoltaic module manufacturing industry has continued to accelerate, and the scale of local manufacturers has continued to expand. Now most of the production lines have achieved intelligent manufacturing.
The report shows that Antalya Province in southern Turkey and Jaeli Province in northwestern Turkey are the most developed provinces in the country for photovoltaic module manufacturing. The total production capacity of the two provinces is more than 1 GW, and the combined production capacity accounts for the total capacity of Turkey’s photovoltaic modules. Nearly half of production capacity.
According to Stantec, about 3/4 of Turkey's photovoltaic module production capacity is self-produced and sold, and the remaining 1/4 of its production capacity is mainly exported to Europe and the Middle East. At present, the Turkish photovoltaic module manufacturing industry is gradually becoming the "leader" in the east of Europe.
