Ladakh to build world's largest solar power plant

    About 200 kilometers south of Cargill, another large-scale solar system price project will unite to illuminate the plains, keeping glaciers cool by eliminating 12,750 tons of carbon emissions annually and eliminating dependence on diesel generators.

    SECI (Indian Solar Corporation) is responsible for the Ministry of Renewable Energy's ongoing J & K project, whose size matches its location in Ladakh units of 5,000 MW (megawatts) and Cargill's 2500 MW, and will be completed in 2023. It is estimated that The investment amount is Rs 45,000 crore.

    SECI Supervisor (Power Systems) said, "We have solved the problems encountered in previous tenders and considered challenging geographical locations."

20kw Solar System Size

    These projects are expected to stimulate development in remote border areas and support local residents by cutting back on solar panel cleaning and transformer maintenance. Power Minister RK Singh said last August that Ladakh has the potential to own 25,000 MW of solar power projects.
