Recently, the Croatian state-owned power company HEPGroup announced that it will start construction of a 6.5 MW photovoltaic 5kw Solar System Price For Home power plant. This will be the country's largest photovoltaic power plant to date.
It is reported that this photovoltaic power plant is located in the northern part of the Croatian tourist city Orlec. It will install more than 20,000 solar panels. It is planned to be put into commercial operation by the end of this year, mainly to ensure that the region has sufficient power supply during the peak tourist season.
The project is part of HEPGroup's solar development plan. According to the plan, HEPGroup will invest approximately US$11.8 million to build 4 photovoltaic power plants with a total installed capacity of 11.6 MW. The company expects that by 2023, the company's total investment in solar energy is expected to reach 110 million US dollars, and will add about 20 megawatts of installed capacity each year.
It is understood that in recent years, the Croatian solar industry has developed rapidly. As of the end of 2019, a total of 69 MW of solar energy projects have been installed. In order to further encourage the development of the industry, in May this year, the Croatian government introduced new regulations and began bidding for large-scale photovoltaic projects.
