According to the Manila Times, the Philippine Department of pv solar energy Energy has approved three photovoltaic projects with a capacity of 1.2 GW to conduct grid impact studies.
It is reported that one of the installations is the Padre Garcia solar power project, which will be built by Solar Philippines Batangas Corp. in Batangas Province. In addition, two projects of similar scale-Sta. Rosa Nueva Ecija 3 and General Santos—Currently developed by the Philippine Solar Commercial Roof Project Company.
In addition, several solar projects ranging in size from 5 MW to 61 MW have also received the same license.
Under the plan called "Energy Virtual One-Stop (EVOSS) System", these three installation projects are also included in the list of solar projects, which have a web-based energy application monitoring system. By the end of June, a total of 13.2GW of solar capacity was included in the inventory.
Government statistics show that according to the Philippine Renewable Energy Law, the Philippines has installed 1.06 GW of installed capacity in the first half of this year. Most solar installations in the United States are secured under the protection of the old feed-in tariff, auction and net metering schemes.
The Philippine government will introduce a green energy tariff plan auction system this year to allocate 2 GW of renewable energy production capacity. The country plans to install 15 GW of clean energy by 2030.
